Checked Your Fuel Filter (petrol) Recently

After a google for Galaxy Fuel Filter I came across this garage site recounting a poor running Petrol Galaxy

 

Here is the filter underneath the car

I should say so! I'm always amazed by how many people (and garages) skimp on servicing and dont change filters like this.

It's surprising how many don't realise it's there in that position, I suppose to reduce possible risks of fire in a front end collision ;)

I changed mine last year when I bought the car. It looked just like yours, although I never opened it up.

 

I thought then that it hadn't been changed for a long time.

 

I always get a sense of satisfaction when you remove the old crap filters and put nice new ones on.

What do you use to clamp the fuel lines? Is there any special tool required?
